My New Guardian

My entry for the "Modern Myths" contest being held by I was assigned the monster/myth Lamassu [link] and I had to modernize it.

I debated for a while how I could modernize something that had a cow's body and eagle wings and a human head and was a woman although it had a beard. Then I read that she was a protective figure in Mesopotamian mythology and it clicked. Seeing Eye Dogs are protective guides to the humans that they work with...so wouldn't it work even better if it was something that could speak and could actually tell the blind person what to look out for?

This project was fun and a good way for me to stretch my creative skills.
